So we get home from seeing Leatherheads at the Grove this Friday (by the way, Chandler was so disinterested in the flick that he read his new book - a "Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Roderick Rules," all the way through the movie), and we get a call, ...
"Hey brother man! It's Steve-O!!" Knowing he didn't call for me, I immediately handed the phone to Chandler. They spoke for a while, Chandler listens to his coach repeating some prompts, and then the kid gets off the phone and says, "I've got a playdate with Steve-O and Ryan this Sunday. We're gonna do the Hollywood walk of fame outside Mann's Chinese. I get to do 'Crowd Control!!' I've got just the hat for it." Chandler runs up to his room and grabs his police man hat and is ready to go, ... two days early.
Then the phone rings again. It's Steve-O with some follow up instructions, "Dude! One very important thing - you must call me Cuckoo the Clown. I'm going incognito and don't want people to recognize me."
We meet up with Steve-O and Ryan and their crew, Chan gets to do some indoor skating at the Ball Bag skate condo, "Be-Bop" the tiger-striped boxer said hello, and then we head out to Hollywood. Below are some shots from the experience. There are always street performers around. When Chan went up to Elmo and Barney, they gave him a hard time. They should have known better. Chan doesn't take crap from haters, "You guys suck and are meaner than you are in the TV show."
As per Steve-O's directions, Chandler hit up passer-by's with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare to be electrified by Cuckoo the Clown's performance in 5 minutes!!"
Please look closely at a couple of these shots: Back flips off of step ladders!!
Steve-O's ability to balance things is amazing!! And, Ryan is pulling off truck and side slides all afternoon!!
